The surroundings of Moulin du Petit Rot
offer many sites and activities. A selection out
of the numerous possibilities.
Walks
There is an endless number of possibilities
for long and short walks in every season. The
Grande Randonée GR126 has its track very
close by. You will find more information on walks
and hikes at the website "Grote Wandelpaden".

Canoe
Canoeing possibilities are numerous in
the Ardenne region. Close by you will find the
Semois and the Lesse rivers. There are several
rental facilities, for example at Semois
Kayaks.

Han Caves
The Han Caves were formed by the Lesse
river that flows underground here. Up until this
day little is known about the course of the subterraneous
part of the Lesse River. The part of the caves
that is mapped has a length of about 5 kilometers
of which 3 kilometers can be visited. More

The Chevetogne Convent
Hidden away in the Chevetogne woods lies this
convent of benedict monks. In 1924 the order of
the benedict monks was asked by Pope Pius XI to
help reunite the eastern and western churches.
The eastern part of the convent compound is built
in the style of the Russian city Noygorod.

Cities and villages
You will find plenty of city’s in the Ardenne
region that are worth a visit. Dinant for example,
the well known city on the Meuse river, or Lavaux-Sainte-Anne
with it’s imposing 14th century castle.
And you are close to France where you could visit
Charleville-Mézières or the fortified
city of Sedan.
