Sherpa,
14-1-2007
The full name of this Sivas-Kangal Dog from
Turkey is Sherpa-Atesh. In Turkish, Atesh
means fire, and he has plenty of that. Sherpa
guards the house and it’s inmates
with great dedication. But as soon as he
has got to know our guests he is full of
enthusiasm, especially where children are
concerned. Sherpa was four moths old when
I went to Turkey to fetch him. He is a fast
grower and a quick learner. |

Since then he has found his place in the moulin. |

This small white cat goes by the name of ‘Saffire’
because of her clear blue eyes. She is quick,
naughty and very affectionate. She is afraid
of nothing and no one. She and Sherpa are
great friends. |

Api and
Jen, 1999 and 1997
Api and Jen are two Mèrens horses of
a breed that comes originally from the French
Pyrenees. Their owner has stabled his horses
with us and drives them in a team. The Mèrens
are a calm race and driving them is a great
pleasure, not in the least because they received
careful instruction. |

Chickens
of the Brahma race
They will give you eggs for breakfast! These
large, luxuriously feathered chickens are
a pleasure to watch. They are given all leftover
bread as well as vegetable peelings and leftovers. |
| |
Our geese
Are the occupants of the pond. Their watchfulness
more than equals that of the dogs, they often
announce visitors even before the dogs have
woken up. They love bread and cannot be fed
enough of it, whatever they don’t gobble
down will be eaten by the large fish that
live in the pond. |

Our peacocks
Easter 2007 marked the arrival of our 3 peacocks. |
| |
You’ll
furthermore find…
Much more other flora and fauna that is there
to discover at your own leisure. Herons, buzzards
and roes are among the regular visitors of
the domain. They enjoy the peace and quiet
and love to be left in peace in turn.
